MEWP Towable/Crawler (1b) Operator Certification (Online)

To determine if there is an available Evaluator in your area, CLICK HERE. The process to select your evaluator for the practical evaluation occurs upon successful completion of this online course. 

This online theory and hands-on practical evaluation training allows students to obtain the necessary knowledge and skills required to operate towable/crawler (1b) MEWPs safely.  Upon successful completion of the online theory and final written exam, students must successfully complete the in person hands-on practical evaluation conducted by a qualified Sunbelt Rentals Certified Evaluator to receive operator certification.

Topics Include:

• Responsibilities as a user and operator 
• Conducting a pre-start inspection 
• Conducting a workplace inspection 
• Various types of equipment 
• Safe operation 
• Preventing accidents and identifying hazards in operation

Students have 90 days to successfully complete their practical evaluation after finishing the online coursework to receive certification. 

Note: This is not recognized as fall protection or working at heights training. Required prerequisite course in Ontario is “Working At Heights”. Fall Protection is recommended in all other locations.
