Nestor Gunsi (Vancouver)

Nestor started his career working as head chef in several restaurants in the Vancouver area. After 12 years in the kitchen, followed by a short stint as an HVAC tech, in 2018 Nestor entered the rental industry working in various capacities to include yard person, counter rep, truck driver, and eventually mechanic. His keen knowledge of MEWP, Forklift and earthmoving equipment made it a natural fit to later serve as the company’s equipment and small tools trainer.

Nestor joined Sunbelt Rentals in October 2022 as a district safety trainer servicing the greater Vancouver area and Island. He loves helping people learn how to stay safe while on the jobsite and using heavy equipment and the needed PPE. He is qualified to teach boom and scissor lift, telehandler, forklift, skid steer and excavator operator certification courses along with fall protection training. In addition to English, Nestor speaks six Filipino languages and is currently learning Spanish.
